China buffet restaurants

By

Treat your taste buds to the flavors of the Orient. Whether you are with family or friends, full on party or eating solo, China buffet restaurants offer a dining flexibility and tastes that are second to none.

Easily my favorite type of restaurant to eat out at; the selection of foods and unique tastes, alone, bring it to the top of my list. My staple choices have always been egg rolls and chicken balls. Plum sauce for the egg rolls, and cherry sauce to drench those crispy chicken balls.

Have you ever gone to dine out at a “standard” restaurant, only to be indecisive about what you wanted to order? Recall menus describing unknown foods with very few pictures to help with your choices? The poor servers really have to earn their tips trying to describe each dish in detail. It would be nice if they brought out a sample of each menu item for us to try, wouldn’t it? The sheer convenience of a buffet format surpasses anything that even a fast food restaurant can offer, without sacrificing food quality. How does some eggfooyoung sound, fresh and sizzling, pick up your plate and serve yourself, no waiting. Go ahead, try a little bit of everything!

The all you can eat aspect of China buffet restaurants, I find, can either be a blessing or a curse. The food looks and smells so good that it’s easy to load up plate after plate and forget to leave room for desert (which is also “all you can eat”). Before you know it you’re stuffed, this is a phenomenon that I only seem to experience at Chinese buffet restaurants. Many times I’ve left feeling pretty sick due to overeating; know your limits and stick to them (and don’t forget your vegetables). If its two plates of food, then stop at two plates.

Buffet pricing will obviously vary, starting at around 8$ for a regular lunch buffet and up. Often dinner and weekend buffet prices will be higher. Hours of operations for the buffets will also greatly vary. 11am to mid afternoon is not uncommon for lunch buffets, and then mid afternoon until late for the dinner buffets, seems to be the most common.

China buffet restaurants are so common that there’s bound to be one local to your area. Internet or yellowpages are your best search tools. So enjoy, and remember to save some room for desert.

We have a favorite Chinese Buffet which serves delicious food at a reasonable price. I totally agree with your observations and enjoyed reading this.
