Black Purse

By

Out of the plethora of handbags available on the market, if you had to pick just one, a black purse is surely the one to get.  Not to say that you’re not going to have many purses, or that you shouldn’t.  A black purse simply has a few characteristics that set it aside from the pack and make it a must have for any woman’s ensemble.

Black will always be chic, and why shouldn’t it be?  It’s a neutral color, or lack of color, for that matter. As a “conservative” color, it will go with just about anything.  It can also bring about the connotation of mystery and sensuality, with an air of sophistication.  This conflicting aura surrounding this color can be appropriately expressed through matching clothing colors and styles, thus adding effortless versatility to an already awesome handbag.

Since the Victorian era, purses were designed to match the clothing a woman wore.  We’re easily just as style conscious today, if a bit less frilly and fluffy.  Well, unless you’re unique and have a special handbag to match every outfit in your wardrobe, you’ll need a few handbags that can go with just about every clothing combo you can come up with.  A black purse should be at the top of that list.  A black purse will nicely complement, or can even be used to tone down bright clothing.  It can go very well with softer tones, adding a firm sophistication to your look.  Being a solid “color,” this black, it’s not restricted to offsetting solid colored clothing only.  Being able to coordinate with such a wide range of colors, a black purse can also get along well with pattered and paisley apparel without much extra thought.  A few colors to avoid wearing along with your black purse are browns and navy blues.  I guess we can’t have everything.

Black is just a color, so obviously purse styles and materials will be in just as unlimited abundance as any other color. Leather has always been my favorite for that richer or mysterious appeal, and a black leather purse will go along famously with your finest outfit. A black cloth or knit handbag, however, will do well for any casual outing. Choose a style that best suits you, and don’t feel the need to limit yourself to one. A black purse may look expensive, but it doesn’t have to be.

In conclusion a black purse can be the perfect handbag companion for nearly any clothing outfit combo from casual to exquisite. Every woman should have at least one of these bags hanging in her closet. Not only to be used for a carefully planned outing, but for any girl on the go as well, who perhaps doesn’t have the time to worry about what she is wearing.
